World Water
Day 2006
The
existente of bilingual Spanish-English
schools in Calgary, Canada facilitated the
organization of a cultural interchange.
After
developing a workshop with the collaboration
of the professors about the relevance of
water in the planet, paintings were
interchanged between students of
Jacobo
Varela #31 School from Montevideo,
Uruguay and Collingwood School from
Calgary. Canada.
In
Uruguay the artworks were exhibited at
Enrique Fynn Gallery and in Calgary at the
school hall celebrating 22nd of March –
World Water Day.

neighborhood made paintings in commemoration

In October 2007 an
exhibition including paintings from students
of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra School
from San Jose, Costa Rica, ANAIF
Institute from San Jose, Uruguay and
Collingwood School from Calgary, Canada
were exhibited at Varsity Galery in Calgary
in commemoration of the Interamerican Water
Day. |
